    I mean, also depends on how much you put down. Even at a 30 year fixed mortgage or so, say 150k? Maybe like 3.5-4% interest? That would be somewhere around 700 with decent credit.

    ....I fuck around with those numbers a lot.

    Yeah well i'm poor and saved for a year with the inlaws to buy my 125k house with 7k down to have a 1035 mortgage, only to have it go up to 1156 already in the first year.

    Yeah but the suburbs you can get at that price you probably wouldn't want to live near. Section 8 housing, next to a railroad line or loud frequently congested highway, etc.

    Northeastern PA. In the hoyty toyty mountain town with the rich people, but I only paid the low end of 6 figures.

    the area wasn't too bad. I mean, was it nice now, no, would it be wonderful in 5 years when we have kids, absolutely.

    But we still could be in the good suburbs with a mortgage for what we're paying in rent. I think the only reason we haven't yet, is because hubby isn't a direct hire yet, so we may still need to move.

    Yeah i'm at 4.25 so that and 14.5 make a difference. I also had shitty credit, somehow after buying a house and new car i went from fico 670 to 719. "O Hey, You have more debt than before, you are now more qualified to take on more debt"
