Knee update
So just saw my surgeon and there is a change of plans cause nothing related to my leg every goes smoothly.
Blood work indicates there may be a bone infection so have to go get a bone scan and then deal with that before anything else.

CT showed a fracture in the back of my knee that all the trauma surgeons my knee doctor consulted with said needs to be repaired or any ACL repair will fail. So after the bone scan I will see a trauma surgeon for a consult.

The possible plan is to have the trauma surgeon and my knee surgeon operate together and while the trauma guy fixes the fracture the knee surgeon will do an Osteotomy cutting a wedge out of the front of my knee and leveling the bone off, possibly grafting some bone in to the back of my knee, putting a plate a screws in to hold it all together and letting that heal. Then down the road possibly repair the ACL.

Then when we finally get around to replacing the knee there will hopefully be a better surface for them to work with.

It's better not to amputate they said
prosthetic are expensive they said, the surgeries and PT will eventually stop they said
