I use hit finder not guru

 

I stopped paying for guru when I stopped being guaranteed $50 a week on mturk. I have $15 done for the day, $6 in my queue and that $2 follow-up that I might leave for tomorrow. Made double that on Prolific but I've really been trying to take a lazy day. Maybe $3 on Connect but again, haven't really been trying today.

 

I use Hit Forker. It used to work great for me...but with all the MTurk changes, when I add something to PCM, it always seems to shut it down and causes the Captcha alert (I always have to remember to go and stop/start it again) after something like that occurs. You do know that you have to use it with Panda Crazy/Max...right? Also, I have noticed that I suddenly have to reload the script about once a week - and that's been for a few months now.

 

Sorry, I misspoke, I'm using Hit Finder, but I accidentally said Hit Forker. Do you think Forker is better? I've been with QBC so long and I can't really find any current tutorials. This is all really confusing.

 

I use Finder. What part is confusing you?

 

I just don't seem to be seeing any new HITs, like ever. If it has Accepted one that means I can do it right? But I never see a way to actually open the HIT. Does PandaCrazy work better than Hit Catcher?

 

I can't say if it works better. I always preferred PCM/Forker to Finder/Catcher - but I think with the new MTurk regime, it's nicer to Finder. I used to use both and that was great...but now I can't. Too many PREs...and all the other nasty stuff.

 

Do you mean that it has already accepted it in HIT Catcher? I open the HITs that I catch from my mturk dashboard queue after HIT Catcher has caught them.

 

There haven't been a lot of new hits today. Most of my money on turk was ancient batch quals.

 

if you have an accepted hit, you can see it by going to your queue on mturk. I think you should start checking your queue to find out if you have a hit there. it might be bad to have a lot of hits accepted and expiring, like it might look bad to an algorithm. idk though.

 

That has always been my issue with Hit Finder...there's a lot of going back and forth to find out where the hit is, if its been caught, etc. Whereas with Panda Crazy Max - since that needs to be in a separate window to use it, if Hit Forker catches it for me, I see it immediately on PCM (plus it audibly announces it...which I like).

 

Oh, you mean you click on the title in Hit Finder?
