Spongebob, futurama, and the flintstones are all different "style" of cartoon too and I don't feel compelled to watch any of 'em.

I never thought I'd say this but I agree with CT.

 

Do the Boondocks count as Anime? I mean, they're done in the same style....

The topic at hand is one giant WTF? to me.
Then again, so are most aspects of life.

 

Anime is a style of Japanese cartoon animation. It heavily emphasizes over-exaggerated facial expressions so that it's clear among many different languages and cultures what's trying to be said even if the language isn't the same. But, there are also problems with Japanese Anime. And for God's sake @Bob W do NOT delve into Hentai unless you've got nitroglycerine pills.
