Does anyone else find it weird that buttons on the internet make the little hand cursor/pointer show up but checkboxes don't? It's started to irk me lately & idk why it's like that.. most other 'interactive' elements give you the pressy finger button :leftyhyperflail:

It was his plan all along. That article about him making $4.8 million a year was prophetic.

I'd be really surprised if QBC had even over 1000 active subscribers, haha.

Even this is an absolutely wild overestimation :emoji_joy::emoji_joy::emoji_joy: I don't think 1,000 people total have ever even tried the app let alone actually paid for it LOL

Indeed, I think I know maybe 30 people who have it. I'd estimate 100-200 max, but I could be wildly off. It's too expensive to be useful for many people, and there's quite a few people who use a combination of other apps.

Discovered http://100r.co/ today - a couple (she's a writer and illustrator and he's a programmer and musician) that bought a "research" sailboat and now live on it, sailing all over the world and doing all kinds of cool quirky tech projects (and I mean really really really quirky). Am currently deep down their rabbit hole. They seem like the craziest but also somehow some of the most productive people I've read about. :emoji_joy:

Man I just had to do the math LOL.. If y'all think I make $250,000/yr and still post on this forum about Twitch study streams and working in a 95* office in the summer I have some serious questions to ask about how those things get reconciled :emoji_joy:
Yea it's just not really ever going to be worth it for the vast majority of folks, which is totally cool & not a problem I only crack jokes because of how nuts that dude's math was lol

I am unironically having a moment of realization how much I depend on UX researchers who have perfectly crafted my experience on the web and made me completely dependent on brightly colored buttons to navigate to what I actually want to find

Indeed. It's a convenience thing for me, but there's some people to whom $20 is like losing a couple days goal.

I have 5k pandas in PC, and a combination with other scripts worked well enough for me that I would be nearly as productive. Having everything in one spot, and a responsive and active developer was the biggest sell.

I calculated that my average was $30ish/hrly, and that over the course of the month, QBC had saved me over an hour in just swapping tabs/screens. When working 3 hrs avg each day, the lost time adds up, and it's been definitely worth it for me.

    Edit: Mandatory @AlexZ
