I toss the blanket in the dryer with my sleep clothes. We have one of those heavy blankets and it holds heat SO well.

The biggest incentive there is to be able to cash out the gift card balance through purse/reddit quickly (before the account is nuked).. It's one thing to sneak an account by APay enough to grab gift cards but it's a whole different universe to actually get a real US bank account. AFAIK services that provide them ala PP/Payoneer/etc should be easily identifiable since you need the institution information to cash out (routing # right?).

Plus taking back account verification control from APay gives MTurk more access to the information. I kinda question how much of that information they can currently access even if it is within the same company.

Idk.. to me it makes some logical sense, especially if they're fine w/ giving established workers the freedom of more frequent cash outs.

Yeah, the biggest deterrent is the new 2 day wait from paid to being transferable. This decision is ultimately a good one for requesters and mturk, for the reasons you mentioned. I'm still gonna cry like a little baby if they have me re verify with an ID and shit though.

I question it too, and I think the answer is not much. APay had things like our age on file but they still had us take a qual for it here, and it seems to not tick up with APay, or if it did it took forever to update the qual, as an example. It was a mouse sleeping next to an elephant thing, with amazon being the elephant.
If anything happened with your amazon account via the store or something, like being suspended temporarily for suspicious purchases, you lost access to your mturk account too. I wonder if that will still be the case afterwards

 

The real pro tip is to not wash your sheets, this way you don't even have to make the bed

Has this happened to anyone since they disassociated your "worker id" id with your "amazon id" id.. some time in 2018 they "fixed" the issue where worker id's were tied to your public amazon profile.. not sure if we're seen that since?

 

It happened to me in november 2018 when I tried to purchase a gift card on my account after not having made a purchase for like a year lol. They locked me out for like 12 hours. I don't know if that was before the dissociation in 2018, but that was pretty late in the year.
