This guy uses buttermilk to make one of those Popeye's chicken sandwiches. I might try this recipe if I time.

Evaporated milk is one of my favorite pantry staples of all time and I don't know why it's fallen somewhat out of favor in modern cooking, given it's such a nifty shelf stable sub for heavy cream and the like.

First things first, plug something else into the outlet - see if it's the appliance or the outlet.

It's probably not, but if it's a GFCI outlet press the reset switch.
