Good morning!

Plans for today are all shot to heck.

Kiddo complained of a sore throat yesterday but it wasn't red, no fever.

This morning says it feels exactly ilke the last time he had strep. Now throat is red. No fever.

Heading to clinic in two hours. He's probably missing school tomorrow unless swab comes back fast enough and says he's fine.

 

Whole week off for Thanksgiving! Yaaaaaay!!!

We had this going around my house. My mom and sister went to the doc and got tested for strep and I guess my mom just has a virus so the dr gave her antibiotics and steroids. They gave my sister some mouth wash and told her she likely doesn't have the virus..

sounded weird to me because of how vague the doctor was.

tbf there's like a billion things that cause sore throats. As long as the doctor is sure it isn't the worstest of the things, I'm fine with vagueness.

 

Yeah, I get it. A lot of diagnosing people is just educated guessing lol

I'm praying this is just a normal sore throat. But last time Kiddo had strep he had a fever and no sore throat until the day we went to the doctor for the mysterious 3-day fever. His throat wasn't even red, but he had strep

And he says this sore throat feels exactly like the sore throat he got then, which isn't the same as the irritated throat he gets with allergies.

He just had strep in May so I'm guessing he remembers the feels. Hopefully the swab comes back negative. And hopefully if we have to miss school we can convince them we're not doing this for an extended thanksgiving break, lol.
