It's not technically a roomba, nonetheless - best money I've ever spent.

it felt tacky asking how your chinese knockoff robot was holding up.

    :emoji_sweat_smile:
I'm surprised. I still don't understand the massive price delta between the models, from, like $150-600

I just use a couple garbage cans with holes drilled through it for oxygen, and stir it with a broom handle once every couple weeks - or whenever I'm not lazy.

Garbage cans were free with the house. Broom handle - i don't even know where I got it, but I'll admit - it's a nice broom handle. 3 or 4 bucks maybe on the open market.

Pretty pumped to use the compost come spring tbh.

Canadian redworms supercharge that process. They keep the odors down too if you're doing it inside.

I got a bunch of worms in there. Dunno what breed. species. race. whatever. The old people at this house had a big mulch pile in the backyard was mostly decaying leaves, which I felt was an eyesore, but there was lots of good compost starter and worms in there. worms seem to like piles of decaying leaves. Good for catching bluegill too.

Yeah they probably are. They like shredded paper or any type of cellulose. Seems they need a certain amount of it compared to the food scraps. I like that they move all the stuff around in a day so it doesn't sit in a clump and rot. Miraculous little critters.

quick dumb question, i'm so sorry in advance- i've been looking at a lot of the big batches and they tend to have a qual or two, so I always try to request it- do they maybe not grant it because of my hit #s or such? i'm working really hard to get to at least 5k but sometimes i'm just staring at hit finder because i can't find anything to do ^^; other than penny-for-a-minute-of-work ones (which i still try to do anyway to get the numbers)

They love cardboard too. I usually make a base of dirt about two inches, they put a bunch of food scraps and cover it with cardboard and paper.

Most those require a qual hit. Requesting quals usually doesn't work.
