12/23 - Soothing Sunday!

Hugs! I know it's so far away.

 

do you have help? seems like parents feel/do a lot better if they have extended family or other people helping.

 

I feel that. Coffee is my life's blood.

This time of year I add a bit of instant cocoa, a drop of vanilla and a small shake of nutmeg to make it more special.

 

put the camera much lower so he looks taller. looks like a drone flew overhead to take his pics.

 

Gotta disagree, based on empirical evidence. For the last several years my daughter has had to get up at some awful hour of the AM on Saturdays for skating practices. Ice hockey parents seem to have the same issues. Mind you, I get up at 5:30 on work days too, so it doesn't bother me so much.

 

Well, okay, yes that's different

I get up at 5:30 on weekdays because of my son. I don't have to be to the office until 9 am!

 

Dammit. The cat got outside when I was letting the dog in. She defeated my efforts at catching her (I usually can, she comes right to me) by climbing a tree and getting on my room.

It's still pitch black out there, so there really isn't much I can do except hope she stays near home and wanders in again at some point.

Strictly speaking I don't need to get up that early on weekdays. I choose to do so because I have an hour commute, I like to avoid traffic, and if I get in early then I will work out at our office gym (whereas if I don't work out first thing then I will feel utterly unmotivated to do so and consequently die earlier).
