    "The EU has recently implemented the DAC7 directive that requires us to report MTurk workers’ taxable income. To be in compliance with this directive, please complete a DAC7 tax interview no later than February 28, 2023. If we do not have your tax information by then, you may be ineligible to continue to use the MTurk platform, which could also result in withheld payments."

    Do we have to do this even if we're not in Europe?

    I got this too and when I clicked on the link to do it, the page just kept spinning around and around in a circle - like, vertigo spinning. I tried to reload and got an error message. Guess they don't have it up and running yet....but glad to know I wasn't the only one who got it.

    Odd that people in the US are getting this EU message - came here to see if anybody else got it and it seems like it is going out to all workers. It seems quite a few people have tried to email Mturk (according to a reddit thread) - going to wait and see if anyone responds and if this is required...

    I would assume so as they will need it in their records, which will keep your account active. If you haven't already filled it in, it pre-generates all the information that they already have one record. So, like for me, it already had my US address and information. Having the US information means they know non-EU workers will be getting it.

    HA. Waiting on MTurk customer support is like yelling into the void. If... IF... someone answers back it's usually not friendly or helpful.
