Welcome Hopefully you are able to do well here on mturk as it can be lucrative. I'm curious to know what platform you are talking about for the online ESL thing. I think that I might know what you are talking about but from what I remember it didn't pay all that well.
I teach for ITutorGroup, 51Talk and Cambly. The first two pay $18 and up per hour. The third is roughly $10/hr.

The first two seem better than the stuff that I have heard of. Prob not something that I would ever be able to get into but at least the pay is decent.
