I faxed my driver's license (state ID), with my name and my email address ( the one I use for amazon) written above it on the sheet of paper, to the amazon fax number 1-206-569-1407 just now. no one asked me for that info, but hopefully that will work to reinstate my mturk account.

 

Can't you just fill out the DAC, if that's the problem?
MTurk is really lame to suspend accounts with no explanation.

Assuming that's the issue. They should be ashamed of themselves, treating their workers this way. They charge more to work with Masters but shit on them with no explanation. It's sad what's happened to the platform.

 

Oh 100%. It's been going downhill in a while. But I can't go anywhere else with no education and beiung disabled. Yes I have Masters.

 

Thanks for that idea, but I already filled that out two times months ago. I just did the fax id verification thing because I've seen on random internet messages that that is one reason why they suspend accounts. if anyone knows of any other reasons they suspend that I can be proactive about, I would love to hear that too. so I can move any possible solutions forward faster than they would normally happen.

The captchas (which are now even in my goddamn Masters acc!) have changed layot slightly. My thinking was there was an update and as per usual amazon probably screwed up more than they fixed.

 

I think you need to get ahold of someone who can tell you. This whole thing is fishy. I have heard that Turkopticon has helped people. Try them if you can't get a response from Amazon.

 

Now that's interesting.
I'll tell you what I heard about why they stopped giving Masters.....
CloudResearch, or whatever they were called back when they started the fake "bot scare" (and later admitted they were wrong) pressed Amazon to stop letting workers go without captchas and this resulted in no more Masters. I have no idea how much truth there is to this, but I also have no idea why they would stop giving out Masters when they still advertise this group of workers and charge extra for their services.

 

I emailed TO just now. Thanks for that email and information btw!!! I have to have two surgeries in the near future, so anything I can do to get this resolved quickly, I will do it. I think I will just plain call them tomorrow as well.

 

I really hope you get this straightened out fast.

I've been looking around and this just happened to a lot of good workers, 99+% approval, seem to be batch workers. I can't help but wonder if there's a poison batch out there. This is bizarre, like top workers were targeted. I hope we find out why this happened.

 

OH! I just found an old avatar I had used, like see my bunny and badges and my name "turker" on the side? that's in a book, but it's an old version I used years ago!!!! this is so weird lol!
