How do you pass the qualification test?

A lot of people have mentioned that the qualification tests are very difficult. One tip is to answer the test questions as if you are explaining it to someone who doesn't know how to use the internet very well.​

Qualifications

PI Search has 3 special qualifications for their HITs. 'PI Qualification' is a quality control qualification, used to make sure Turkers are giving high-quality data. 'Product Search Relevance 1.0' and 'Qualification Test for Home Improvement' are tests for their two batches.

Basic qualifications are >=95% approval rating and >=100 accepted HITs.

Pi Qualification

Pi Qualification Agreement

The Pi Qualification is an automated way for Pi Search to weed out workers who submit results far out of line with their peers without damaging worker reputation with rejections or account blocks.

According to Pi Search every so often they run their HIT results against an algorithm that detects erratic behavior and work not in line with their standards and will raise/lower the Pi Qualification accordingly.

Keep in mind there are no retakes for this Qualification and it must be submitted within 15 minutes of starting it. You may request the qualification here.

HIT Specific Qualifications

Many of Pi Search's HITs require a score of 70 or above on the HIT relevant qualification test below. The instructions are reproduced here for workers to read prior to attempting the test, and as a refresher for workers who may be rusty on what the HITs are looking for. None of the test questions are available and should not be shared or reproduced on this site.
